Job Description
1. Keep the grounds, landscaped areas, water features, flower beds, above-ground parking lot, stairwells, ramps, underground garage, decks, and other common areas free of trash, leaves, twigs, branches, dog waste, and other debris.
2. Monitor irrigation and the condition of grass, flowers, perennials, shrubs, and trees. Plant or replace vegetation as directed, recommend needed work to Management, and trim plants, bushes, and trees as needed, with assistance from contractors or other staff where appropriate. Assist with spring start-up and fall blowout of the lawn sprinkler system.
3. Clear drains to help prevent flooding during rain or snow and ice melt.
4. Shovel snow and apply salt or ice melter to walkways as needed.
5. Take the lead in maintaining water features, including spring start-up, fall closure, and periodic cleaning to remove debris and prevent algae buildup.
6. Empty waste receptacles when full and replace liners.
7. Clean the bin and dumpster holding areas. Assist with cleaning waste bins and the recycling and compactor rooms.
8. Drive the tractor used for waste bins when requested to cover a vacation or temporary staff assignment.
9. Assist with cleaning suites and common areas of buildings and houses as needed or requested.
10. Photograph each vehicle parked in indoor and outdoor visitor parking, record and tally the vehicles in a parking log, and submit the log to the Property Manager as required.
Ability to perform routine grounds maintenance, cleaning, and seasonal tasks safely.
Familiarity with basic landscaping tools and equipment, or willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and report hazards or needed repairs.
Reliability and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the role, with accommodation where required.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
